Every week we will go sailing on our S.S. Friend Ship! What will we find? Maybe a scarey ghost ship! Or and island filled with evil cats who will force you to fight for your life in a gladitorial arena! Who can say? I certainly can't! So all aboard the Friend Ship you beautiful people!

Even though we are all equal on the Friend Ship there is one very good friend in particular named Lord Reginald! He will be second in command and you may go to him with any gifts, home-made baked goods, or complaints you may have.

And now, a foreboding poetic translation:

Once, there was a rich man,
But he never weighted his worth by money,
Rather, upon good company
He had cheery companions, to and fro!

Hatty Hattington was his name, and what a good fellow he was!

They threw parties,
Joined in song!
Maybe even played a few rounds of Ping-Pong,
Though, in whatever they did, friendship mattered most

So, one day,
Hatty invited his jolly group to join him on an adventure!
“What kind of adventure?” You may ask,
Well, an adventure of the fondest sorts, of course!

They all went aboard Hatty’s new craft,
The S.S. Friend… Ship,
With friends of all sorts!
And headed out onto the open sea

What lay ahead, somewhere on or behind the horizon,
That would offer thrills, fun and exciting encounters
For the intrepid crew to cross?
No one knew (but they came along anyway)

And as their journey into the unknown vastness of rolling waves and windy vista began,
The uninvited whims of fate were rising to greet them…
