Steventechno's Community: The House of Electronic, Buildings, and Misc. Model Packs!

Welcome to the official Steventechno Community Group. This is where we can come together to hang out, post the occastional messages to each other and stuff. I'll admit, I do miss creating content for this game, but there is a large reason for it. Things like burnout from working so much, to tools not being maintained and reaching obsolecense, as well as my desire to no longer use Microslop Winblows.

This will be my "Community" going forward. Discord no longer suits my needs due to the recent controversies. I'm no longer on the platform, so I'll be here from now on. Reviving an old Community page that's been dormant for years.

⚠️ None of my addons are currently receiving any new content. You can thank the lack of maintainence from projects like "Propper" for not functioning correctly with current builds of SourceSDK.

Also do not ask help for setting up Propper for yourselves. if I can't get it working, Maybe none of y'all can. Especially under Linux. If someone figures it out, Let me know! ⚠️

I know I've mention abandoning Discord in the past, but those reasons were stupid. With recent controversies with the platform, I've decided once and for all to just nuke it. You won't find me on there no more.

There are a load of reasons why we should ALL stop using it, but of course, despite it's dubious practices, at the end of the day, it's a useful tool for most people.

I'm not sure if I'll have much activity over here, as it was dead over on my former Discord community as well. but I do want to let y'all know I'm still alive and well. My creative mind is still having a hard time firing up. but as I work on myself, Nutrition and everything (I've been neglecting, which I read plays HUGELY into dopamine sensitivity) I have a desire to create again. I just lack the drive and motivation (and functional tools, I'm not sure if Blender can effectively replace Hammer).

I know new houses are FAR overdue. Especially after Buildings Pack 2. Anyways, Much love to y'all, Hope everyone has a great day.

Discord isn't very safe

Hello all, I'm going to come back to this group. All link to my Discord will be replaced with the group here. We can discuss many things here on Steam.

Why am I leaning away from discord? Easy. Not many people at all are on my discord server. Discord is also part of the Chinese movement. While none of that matters as we slowly begin to bow down to our overlords in the East, Steam seems like a cleaner place to be. Plus I want to try something different.

So any updates that may be done regarding model packs will be here now?

Yes. All future projects will be teased here, I'm also down to help anyone with issues regarding getting any addons working. I MIGHT consider bringing back Spawnlists. Most people don't use them, and that's perfectly fine, however they really do make things more organized and more manageable.

.....But Discord is better!

To an extent, I can see why, but Discord is also very messy. Nobody posts in the correct areas so we may as well just have one large general chat. Plus, Steam has it's own discussions and chats so it's not like anyone's missing out.

Does this mean you're going to make/update stuff again?

I'll see what I can do. My toolset, which consists of SourceSDK Base 2007, Propper and Garry's Mod hasn't been playing too nice. For example. I can fully model out a house properly for example, but you can't walk inside and explore, but rather walk up an "invisible wall". I'm going to try other options, as I have a new house model locked and loaded, I just need the tools to cooperate with me.

Yeah. Right now they're on Damage control. They are trying to go Public, have shareholders and all of that so they want to look pretty before they sell out.
