Tourment Grounds Coming Soon along with Thirsty Thursday.

It is my pleasure to announce that the server will have a Tourment Grounds and will be held on Tuesdays. Admitance will be one gold piece but the gold does not go to the capital. The gold will be used for prizes. There will be 4 different tourments. Lancing, Sword-fight, brawler and Archery. Also I will be hosting a race to the top of the big mountain. I will have a wardrobe with items, whoever gets to it first has right to it. But if more than one person get there at the same time then it is up to the players to decide how the loot is going to go around. Be it fight to the death or simple negotions. That is entirely up to the players.

The server host has informed me that a raid array of their crashed 2 days ago. The data is corrupted across the board this outage effected 21 different server groups across 7 games.

In this catastrophic failure I humbly inform you that our server database was among these casualities.

The "perodic offsite backups" are also nowhere to be found. I believe this was a failing on behalf of the server host...I did everything in my power to ensure proper Database backups were maintained. However, when the system fails on their end...it is entirely out of my hands...I am currently harassing the server host to find these database backups. If they cannot I will call their integerity into question.

From Me to you (the players)

I feel that I have failed you (the players) in my responsibilites as Server administrator. I believed that proper backups were being completed...and they were not...a lesson I will never forget..Hardcopy of everything in the future will be priority, as i will see to this personally, instead of trusting a system.

I promise vigilance from here forth, that a catastrophic error of this nature will not result in the loss of so many hours of hard work.

I am truly sorry for the losses you all have suffered. I hope that you will continue to value the server for what is stands for, and continue to play here.

The server is up...it is a fresh map with plently of new oppertunities to rebuild.

-2000 skillcap - We decided that this would be a good time to impliment an already talked about change.
-No pvp zones- GM tradepost is off limits to pvp...no seriously I disabled your ability to attack within the area.

Everything else remains the same as it was...

Not dead, serve was going down everyday, almost twice a day. I just stopped restart it after it crashed. We have been having problems with the server host, hopefully this will get resolved when the other owner can change it.

server still down, if it is not back up soon then me and the 5 guys that have been playing on it will have to find another one to play on, i dont want to as we are really having fun on the server so please sort this out. many thanks.
