Imperial Sontaran Fleet

The Sontarans is a race of belligerent and militaristic clones from the planet Sontar, created by the Kaveetch. They wage an eternal war throughout Mutter's Spiral against the Rutan Host, though they made no effort to change this nor do they want peace.

The Sontarans are a martial species, obsessed with war. They hate the idea of a great war going on without them. Sontaran civilisation relies on war, and the continuing war effort of the Sontaran Empire relies upon its civilisation. Sontarans are training for war in the Sontaran Greater Military Academy. Jingo Linx claimed that hatchings of a million cadets occured at each Academy muster parade. The body of power in the empire is the Grand Strategic Council.

The highest honour for a Sontaran is to serve in the Imperial Sontaran Fleet and to be disallowed soldiering is the most dishonourable fate for a Sontaran. Taking care of the sick and wounded is a humiliating concept. Fighting for other species is an equally dishonourable fate. Sontarans do not fear death and they would rather be court-martialled than show pain. They consider it honourable to face battle "open skinned", without a helmet on.
