RULES FOR POSTING REQUESTS FOR INVESTIGATION:

1. Post some identifying information. We need a STEAM_id or IP address at minimum. It is also helpful to have a name, what server you saw them on, and when (date/time).

2. The sock police are not fishermen, and the logs are not for fishing expeditions. We will not investigate someone just because you want us to. At least provide a minimal, reasonable basis for suspicion.

3. Use of sockpuppets for anonymity in pugs and casual games is legitimate and it will not be investigated unless there is credible evidence that abusive behavior is taking place or server rules are being broken.

4. We are never obligated to investigate anyone.

5. If a request is accepted we will not reveal personal or identifying information about the player to the public. However, server administrators may be notified in private if necessary so they can protect their servers from abusive users.

6. New requests go to the appropriate discussion forum.

HOW TO HELP:

The best way to help out is to donate your server log files. The larger the library, the more likely a potential sockpupeteer will be caught. Contact the group owner to discuss how to contribute.
