Honoring what has been lost...

Snapmap is a lost feature in the upcoming Doom Eternal, confirmed by the devs themselves in this interview.

It' is a rather unfortunate announcement, since I feel that there was so much potential in the creative gamemode. It may have been a terrible experience on launch, but through many updates, has become one of the best creative tools ever created in one of the best FPS ever made.

Many incredible maps have been made since, that has push the tool to its limits. Whether it be technical marvels, pristine gameplay, or beautiful map design, some of the best doom experiences exist in Snapmap, and will contine to exist. However, all these masterpieces have all been lost in time due to Snapmap's terrible history, search engine, and developer acknowledgement.

Yet they should be honored. To showcase what is the absolute limits and dedication that can be displayed in this awesome gamemode...And so that is what this group is created for.

To advertise the best Snapmaps players have played/created, and place them in a central hub for all Doom players to reach out and experience themselves. On a bi-weekly basis, the best of SnapMaps will be found and recorded in this group forever. So that players of now and later can see the legacy that never was meant to be...
