Shibun was founded in 2016 by NIPPAR and F!K0, originally as an ambitious e-sports project in CS:GO.

By late 2017, the focus shifted from competition to camaraderie, becoming a clan where friends play for the enjoyment of the game.

The name, coined by NIPPAR, evolved from a reversed “Anubis” into Shibun — a word later discovered to mean “poetry” in Japanese.

Statement from Shibun Regarding the Case of F!K0

Today marks the fifth anniversary of a significant and unjust chapter in the history of Shibun: the wrongful issuance of a Valve Anti-Cheat (VAC) ban against our co-founder, F!K0, on 12 August 2020.

From the day the ban was imposed, Shibun has maintained — and continues to maintain — that the sanction was unwarranted, unfounded, and inconsistent with the principles of fair play and due process. F!K0’s record as a player and as a leader within Shibun stands in direct contradiction to the allegations implied by such a ban.

In a remarkable turn of events occurring precisely on the fifth anniversary of the ban, its public visibility has been rescinded. As of this date, the VAC mark no longer appears on the profile when viewed by third parties. The restriction remains visible solely to the account holder, effectively erasing it from public record while maintaining its private presence.

While this development does not constitute a formal acknowledgment of error by the Valve, it represents a tacit admission that the ban should no longer be displayed as a matter of public fact. Shibun regards this as a partial vindication of F!K0 and a step, however modest, toward the restoration of his standing in the wider gaming community.

We reaffirm our support for F!K0, our commitment to the principles of fairness and integrity, and our ongoing dedication to ensuring that no member of Shibun is subjected to such an unjust and prolonged sanction in the future.
