New Order of the Galaxy

The cartographers of the Imperium of Man have structured the Galaxy in new larger sectors, called Segmentum. Each Swgmentum has its sectors and a main world, the naval base and seat of the Segmentum Commando, the highest authority in the Segmentum only to be outruled by the Warmaster or the High Senate (Senatorum Imperialis).
Each minor faction in the Segmentum is asked to report to the Segmentum Commando in all matters. If such a civilisation is denying this authority it will be seen as open rebellion against the Imperium and the local authorities will decide about how to deal with it.

The former Terran Empire is now known as Imperium of Man. The High Senate of Terra is now the Senatorum Imperialis under leadership of the Regent of Terra, Malcador the Sigillite. He is now head of all civil matters in the Imperium. With the Senate behind him the Regent is authorised to order the Warmaster if necessary.
