ABOUT A day in the Hive

Eustis Majoris - Petropolis

The populations of hive are so great that the people live in huge urban arcologies called hive cities, truly immense, self-contained, many-layered structures that reach high into the sky. Often spreading over a whole continent or reaching high into the upper atmosphere a hive city is the home of millions of individuals. People fighting in the gossip to survive each day, nobles which give feasts on the highest balconies, a dealer on the street, an oligarch owning a whole industrial sector, a simple policemen or a just a criminal.
In this roleplay you take the role of a citizen of such an urban giant. What role? That is up to you. Some jobs, occupations or professions will be written down as an example. This is from Warhammer 40.000 lore, but except for some very special roles, you don´t need to know anything about it. It is a Science Fiction setting in a city full of corruption, treason, ambition, fervour and people who just want to survive the day.

About the Start

Greetings Community,
Some of you have asked when we are going to start.
Sadly because I didn't get the main characters, inquisition and cult, not fast enough, we haven't started yet. Moreover due to the end of semesters and school years this week, we will start the weekend after Christmas. I expect most of the work done then and plenty of good characters.
I hope for your patience and apologise to ask for it.

Maybe some of you are interested to join and play, but do not exactly know what they can choose or do. I will write some jobs we need, hopefully someone thinks that he or she is capable of doing the job.

Police Chief - TAKEN
We need a leader of the police. He would have much stuff to do from ordering investigations to doing razzias or real fights against gangs. He would mainly interact with the leader of the Justice section of the planet, with businessmen and with criminals of course. It is some work, but I have some very interesting stuff prepared to make the role entertaining.

Business Man/Company Leader
We need businesses, shops, logistics, security agencies, traders, or whatever you can imagine. There are nearly no limits for businesses in a hive and if you have a fancy idea, just do it. It can be something funny, as long as you roleplay it properly and seriously. You can have illegal intentions or already be involved in such. Completely up to you.

Gang Boss
A gang boss is a leader in the underhive, controlling a specific territory, having a little private army of muscle bodyguards, controlling drug trade, employing thieves, being interested in art or music - you have nearly no limits here as well. If you decide for the underhive as location, police or arbites are not disturbing you very often, if ever. This can be a tricky, a criminal, a political, a heretic, a military, a stupid, a dirty, a noble or whatever you want job.

Cult Member or Leader
You would be the opponent of the Inquisitor. Plotting, killing, slaughtering, stealing, ordering, manipulating etc to achieve your goal. It doesn´t matter what your cult is devoted to. If you are interested, do not apply, please contact me. Secrecy and stuff.
You are basically deciding where this roleplay leads. The cults' goals are the most important thing, to be honest.

Arbites Officer - TAKEN
The Adeptus Arbites is a kind of police force, but better armed and not within the planetary authority. We need a medium - high ranking officer, lore knowledge would be good, but is not entirely necessary. You will get in trouble with the most others, espcially the ordinary police, gangs and dubious juristic stuff concerning politics and economy. If that does not sound boring, I don´t know ... Oh and you get a shock maul and plate armour to beat those who you see as opponent and danger.

Planetary Nobility - ENOUGH FOR NOW
The ruling caste of the planet, owners of industrial empires, trading companies or just rich because their grand-grand-stepfather was rich. You are in lead of something, maybe want to get more. You can do that legally or go in the underground to do it illegally. Up to you. These guys are the ones who become future Planetary Governor. The current one, NPC admin controlled, will not live forever.
