Survive DayZ

Hey folks,

to introduce myself, i'm RoW-Gunny or just Gunny, Admin No. 2 for Reign of Wolves Server. I just want to say a few words regarding our server rules. As you all know or at least should know, Reign of Wolves is a No Kill on Sight/RP-PVE Server and reported Kill on Sights will result in Server Ban (yepp we check the log files on a regular basis). For now this is our only rule, this may change when we set our server to a whitelist server, which is likely to happen when Day Z hits Beta. Garfield already mentioned that.

To say it loud an clear, you certainly are allowed to defend yourself...
For example, if you set up a camp somewhere in the beautiful landscape of Chernarus and you catch a guy stealing stuff from your camp, you can respond with what you think is appropriate, for we see stealing from a camp as an act of aggression. So if you kill a guy stealing from your camp, it would be good to take a screenshot of the guy in your camp, just in case he tries to report you for a kill on sight (if you decide to blow him away), so you can proof it was not a random kill on sight. An please no "Yeah, you know.... i had my camp in the center of Elektro and there was this guy...." that doesn't count guys *g*. If you set up your camp on a "hotspot" (i.e. NWA, highly frequented towns/areas) to justify kills, we will not accept that.

An other exception would be, that if someone tries to rob you (RP is appreciated) and you decide to defend your stuff. Other way around the bad guy who robs you can respond to your actions. So it's your decision, you let the guy look through your stuff and he might take some things and lets you go or if you take a stand. For the Bandits...please no "Stop this is a robbery....BÄMM!". Please rob in a "gentle way" as long as the robbed person complies to your demands. We'll have an eye on that too.

P.S. i wrote that in english because i think everybody playing DayZ is able to speak and read it. Let me know if you like to see that translated to german or if english is ok.
