In 1961, the Soviet Union had finished and launched Doma-3, a massive space-station the size of a town. This station was used for military and technological purposes, and it propelled the Soviet Union's technological capibilities and brought steam-powered technology back into popularity, mainly because some scientists thought it was really cool. Due to the Soviet Union's control over most of earth's orbit and their rising technological advancement, tensions during the cold war drastically rose, and it escillated to a nuclear war. The internet was created in 1971 for communication accross space during the war, and in 1979 it became widely used by the public. Now the current year is 1985, and although the war has died down a little, tensions are still higher than ever and some other countries are capatalizing on it.
