Although at first we may appear to exclusively cater to a special group of set people, we are in fact actually very open to friendly new faces around here! Don't be shy, tell your friends, and spread the good news of MMG :D

This steam group has been created as the latest extension and Steam branch of an older Rants Clan originally established on October 21st, 2010 based on the MMO Runescape and it's forums, particularly the appropriately named Rants subforum. Most of us have long since quit or occasionally binge our much-changed-over-the-years Runescape playing days; many of us are even permanently banned from the official Runescape forums, which we personally see here as a memorable scar and rite of passage from a different Rants Clan chapter.

Throughout the years we still continue to carry and uphold Rant's many wonderful traditions, glorious history, undeniable beliefs, and outrageous themes with a dash of crude internet culture. These distinctively charming characteristics uniquely defines Rants from any other clan or group in existence. We are staunch proud members of this clan and it's heritage, and even prouder of Rant's ongoing undying legacy.

And so we warmly welcome anybody who would dare call themselves a Ranter, for we have not only transcended beyond Runescape, but we're going to be one with all of MMG's glory on the interwebs. Join us, we don't bite(unless you're into that kind of thing. We don't judge here either.)!

Currently the amount of members you see before you are only but a small surviving trickle in what once was a 100+ strong clan(psst nobody tell them that most of those 100+ were just alt accounts. Only a decent 30-50 were ever real individuals and even less were regularly active). It's a tough transition moving onto Steam outside of MMG's realm, so our numbers here are greatly limited. Don't let that discourage you though, we're as loyal as ever and again welcome anybody devoted to our ranks.

We're a flexible international steam group that operates across all varying timezones, even though officially our language here is English for everybody's own respectful convenience and benefit. While irl things should always be prioritized, we do what we can to make your spare time with us to be as comfortable as possibe.

Yeah we definitely have way too much admins and mods here. Going to change it soon because it's starting to look unfair.

Don't worry, ranks here were really meaningless to begin with unless you like having responsibilities. For everybody's benefit, I'm just going to set everybody back down to a normal member and try to work things back up again under my original policy.

It's really nothing personal; having a high rank should mean you would have more responsibilities, and seriously who wants to have those on a friggin gaming group.

Just chill, relax, and I'll have a few real admins and mods when the time and situation need it be. Remember that ranks are now usually temporary though.

Everybody's already more or less an admin since they can just PM me whatever's wrong or something and post eet too. We're all equals here.

Alex(TheGreatMightyOrb) has joined the Steam group. Huzzah! Be sure to greet and welcome him.

Tested to see if Steam supports instant image posts just like YouTube links. Results unsuccessful. Attempted to delete thread but found out Steam doesn't permanently delete threads either(it just hides them). Pinned legal bit thread.

Posted several new discussion threads about a few amazing indie games(one was an old post from the CF). Those might be the games I'll gift out if they're multiplayer. Trying to lighten up the Steam group with game discussion since it feels like we're getting a bit too uptight from me.

Replied to Lord Bucket's announcement to test comment feature and posted a question there.

Added some new stuff to the group profile page and updated/moved the lawyer bit elsewhere as a separate discussion thread.

Posted a new discussion thread about online activity times.

Group description has been written by me personally and I also posted a copy of it on our Rs clan forums. Is what I wrote too cheesy? What do you guys think? Post whatever you're thinking, honestly I don't mind

We have also just discovered the announcement feature so please remember to check and make use of that in the future. This also applies to the many other new features Steam can offer us, such as making discussions, events, commenting, and other fun things. Go wild! I won't do anything about it unless it's like, just, really bad, man.

Ranks may have been altered to more properly accurately represent a member's level of responsibility, commitment, contribution to the steam group, and ultimately activity in certain circumstances. Officers will be chosen based on higher merits whereas moderators are simply selected by those whom the steam group feels to deserve the honor. Thank you.
