Singapore's Pioneer Counter-Strike Team

Rage Faction has anchored themselves in Singapore's gaming scene early years and repeatedly made its mark. On this campaign for success, we have become a household name for gaming within the nation. A dedicated team of hardcore Counter-Strike players that pioneered and represented Singapore in numerous WCG, global and local tournaments.

Formed in the late 2000 by Clan leader Billy ‘SilentScope’ Low and fellow loyal companions; Ian ‘Dark_JJ’ Wong and Lee “Huffy” GuanChung. These were the pioneers of Rage Faction’s progressive reign in Singapore.

Rage Faction has consistently been the best in the local gaming community, winning numerous gaming tournaments and representing Singapore internationally. In 2002, they won their 1st major regional competition - Virtual Arena Slangg held in Malaysia - and a number of competitions organized by local LAN shops. These wins inspired them to go into professional gaming
In 2003, the team’s dedication and efforts paid off when they won the prestigious World Cyber Games Singapore Qualifiers in 2003 and had the honour of representing Singapore in competing against other participating countries in South Korea.

In 2004, Rage Faction continued to grace the scene with a good showing in the World Cyber Games Singapore Qualifiers, coming 2nd place.

The year 2005 saw Rage Faction at its best. The team took pride in attaining the 2nd position for WCG Singapore National Finals and in October, the team took the 3rd position in the Counter-Strike tournament under the Cyberathelete Professional League World Tour Singapore Stop. Taking out top teams from China, Australia and Malaysia, RageFaction were the only Singaporean team to have ever made it to top 3 in the event.

Rage Faction is also the only team that has acclaimed to be one of the best in Singapore by proving their consistency with their impressive placing in the prestigious World Cyber Games, coming in 1st in 2003, 2nd in 2004 and 2nd in 2005. These wins have elevated the team’s position in the international and local gaming circuit.

As the years passed, Rage Faction experienced many changes, where members left gaming due to life commitments and goals. However, despite the setbacks, Rage Faction will always fondly be remembered to be one of the best ever team's born in Singapore.
