Keep it clean, fight the flood!

Evening, Survivors! Got some unfortunate news this time around.

After 6 long years, it is time to put the Gravemind - Survival server to rest. What started as one of two servers for gamenights which brought together many Left 4 Dead 2 fans and Gravemind fans during the pandemic, has evolved to what amounts to a part-time job for fun.

The server was used to beta test custom maps online, test weapon mods online, and so much more. However the reasons for the shutdown is twofold. Reason One is the server has a monthly fee which over 6 years adds up. The other, is after the worst of the pandemic has passed, many went on with their lives and the server saw a gradual decline in usership.

So it made no sense to keep paying for the server while hardly many players connected to it.

Here are some fun statistics about the survival map though:

A big chunk of those who connected really enjoyed playing on The Backrooms Survival map, The Rat's Nest survival map, and The Deluge survival map.

That aside, I just wanted to say thank you for being here for so long. Thank you to those in this community who gathered together online with friends to fight against endless waves of the flood. thank you to those outside of the community who connected to those servers through matchmaking and became a part of this community.
