CSGO Bets Prediction.

E-frag.net has announced that the first edition of the CS:GO World Championships will feature a prize purse of $100,000.

Following up on the success of the two editions of the European Championship, E-frag.net, together with hitbox, is planning its first global nations tournament, called the World Championships, as HLTV.org reported in December.

A total of $100,000 have been guaranteed for the tournament, but that figure is expected to be increased as E-frag.net will use crowdfunding to beef up the prize purse. Every contribution will be rewarded with official merchandise.

There will be six regions in contention - Europe, North America, South America, Africa, Asia and Oceania, each one with its own online regional championship.


The top 16 nations from all over the world will then lock horns at the World Championships finals, scheduled for October 8-11 at Sava Centar, a congress centre located in New Belgrade. Travel and accommodation costs will be covered by E-frag.net.

Daniel Leberl, the CCO of hitbox, had this to say about the upcoming World Championships:

"Last year's ESEC and the upcoming World Championships bring something unique to the CS:GO scene. A true nations based tournament, uniting some of the best players from around the globe. Extraordinary matchups will be a regular occurrence, with lineups you previously only were able to see in fantasy drafts. It goes without saying that we are enormously excited to see all this action live and exclusive on hitbox."
