ABOUT Potato-Spec Games

Certified to Run on Nothing

This is a group to discuss games that are designed to run on super low-end or older systems. I know there are other quite similar groups out there, but they seem to be putting brand new titles in their lists with insane requirements. I will be making sure that nothing here will be too taxing on your system if you were to try them.

To test the games, I will be using my Dell Latitude 5179 2-in-1 tablet/laptop. I love these tablets because they run full Windows with an x86 processor and are quite powerful for the ~$100 that they cost. Here are the specs of the system:

Processor - Intel Core m5-6Y57 [2 x 1.1 - 2.8 GHz], Skylake
Graphics adapter - Intel HD Graphics 515, Core: 900 MHz, Memory: 800 MHz
Memory - 8 GB, LPDDR3-1600 MHz, dual-channel, fixed
Display - 10.80 inch 16:9, 1920 x 1080 pixel 204 PPI, YJ0MP-TV108FM, IPS, 10 finger multi-touch
Mainboard - Intel Skylake-Y Premium PCH
Storage - Samsung PM871 MZYLN256HCHP, 256 GB, M.2 SSD

This system's GPU is quite the potato.

Average Bench: 2.92% (493rd of 702)

So it's slower than 97% of all tested systems, but can still run a lot of great games! For example, Half-Life works perfect, I tried Half-Life 2 and it seemed to run great, but when I run Portal and create a portal, I lose 50% of my FPS (60 down to 30) when the portal is visible (even on the absolute lowest settings). So That's basically the limitations of the "Potato-Spec Certification", is if it can run good on this tablet.
