This is a PDX secret santa invite-only group.

Rules:

You must generate a “wishlist” of at least five Steam games, ideally of varying price. This wishlist should be posted as a new discussion on the PDX Secret Santa group. Please post this list as soon as possible, preferably before the beginning of the Steam Winter Sale.

You will be assigned a random person from the group by our benefactor and supreme overlord, “secret santa cat.” Look at the PDX Secret Santa group to find the wishlist of your assigned person, and use that information to decide what games to purchase for them on Steam.

You may purchase games for this person on Steam that do not appear on this wishlist as long as you are confident that they would want the game, can run the game on their PC and don’t already own it.

Game purchases must total between $25-$30, but how that money is spent on Steam is entirely up to you. This means that purchasing multiple games to reach the $25-$30 limit is acceptable. The only requirement is that the game or games you purchase must be transferable and playable through Steam. In the interest of fairness, please do not spend more or less than the aforementioned amount.

When you buy the game(s) for your Secret Santa recipient, do not send them the game immediately. All gifts should be sent between the days of January 2nd-3rd, ensuring that everyone exchanges gifts at roughly the same time.

Take advantage of the Steam Winter Sale! With some patience you can likely find huge discounts on the games that your Secret Santa recipient requested. By checking the daily deals you can potentially double or triple the size of your gift!

Finally, please do not reveal to others who your Secret Santa recipient is! Part of the fun is wondering who will be shopping for you.
