IF you are racing enemy to get the rune, just use Purge to keep enemy hero in place and take the rune for yourself.
Use Fate's edict to deny enemy last hits.
If u want to heal yourself, cast fate's edict on yourself and use purifying flames to get the most heal out of it.
Alternatively, you can use purifying flames on enemy hero and then immediately purge him to cancel the heal effect. Works as a decent nuke.
