Four years later - Remembering Dean Dixon

January 2021 I took my last drink of alcohol.

More than ever I wish I'd been able to help Dean. This week on the 28th will be four years since his fight ended. In his memory I pledge to carry on in my recovery, now 18 months old and I'm 90 lbs. lighter at 160 lbs. Weird being 50, but worse that I made it but Dean didn't. Right now I need him more than ever.

Love you bro.

Here we are again. It's June 28th and the world is in a state we've not seen in our lifetimes.

So much loss, so much sorrow, so much fighting.

For this announcement I acknowledge all of this horrible stuff, but I single out one horrible thing: We lost Dean this day two years ago and the world is still even poorer for that.

Dean, I miss you. Friends of Dean, I love you. Let's hold this Nation and this world together please as we deal with the challenges nature (both natural and human) have dealt us. They are not going away soon, and all I want for us all is to make it through. If not together, then apart. We can still be together in our hearts and in our thoughts.

Well wishes to all of our friends as coronavirus continues to spread and rise in cases throughout the world. I hope you're all well and yours are well also. Please stay safe. I miss you folks a whole lot.
