I have you muted, sorry, but not quite!

This is group to simply show that you've them all muted, often in non comp-games.


In order to mute people in Casual-Deathmath-War Games official modes:

1) Open CS:GO Client > Settings Menu > Game > Communication > 'Mute all but friends'* (*=Muting everyone but NOT your friends ) if you select in the drop-box "Only in non-competitive modes" then you're muting voice & chat from both teams always when you are NOT playing in ranked competitive games.

In order to mute the enemy team (chat & voice):

2) Muting the enemy team: Settings Menu > Game > Communication >Mute Enemy Team >>> YES or NO.

3) Want to mute your own team temporarily?

Settings Menu > Keyboard / Mouse > Communication Options > Temporarily disable incoming chat > Now choose a key to this, like you're keybinding the command (voice_enable 0) to that key. (this is good if your dead team-mates don't get to be quiet when you're about to clutch..!)

When the round starts again, the sound is back!

You can of course bind this to a key and put into your autoexec folder. (please google on how to create such)

4) Want to mute the radio?
Open the console and type in (~ key, if not activated go Settings Menu > Game > Game > Enable developer console > Yes )

5) Quickly reduce all sound:
Into the console: bind j "toggle voice_scale 0.1 1" (in this particular case, the key used i J), if you want to unbind a key type into console: unbind j - for example.

6) Have the chat muted
Type into console (or bind it): ignoremsg

By typing ignoremsg 1 time = Disabling Broadcast messages
By typing ignoremsg 2 times = Disabling TEAM/Broadcast messages
By typing ignoremsg 3 times = Disabling ALL messages
By typing ignoremsg 4 times = Enabling/ accepting messages again

7) Mute all radio spam:
Type into console: ignorerad

VERY useful!


8) Test your microphone?
Open the console and type in voice_loopback 1 enables it (and 0 set it back to default) and you can also test via Steam directly.

9) Very high chat voice of yours? Try:
Add the command in to Console or just put it into your autoexec folder, the following:

voice_mixer_volume from "0.8"

voice_mixer_volume "0.8"

'0,8' means volume level 80 out of 100, so 80% volume.

When open the game, type in to the console: exec autoexec or directly put into your autoexec folder: host_writeconfig , aftter your command lines.

10) Mute from the scoreboard (TAB key):
Press TAB > Right-click on mouse > Click on some player > Hover over the VOLUME icon > drag it down or simple left-click to it turns red = muted

Disable all voice comms: Press TAB > Right-click on mouse > left-click in the SPEAKER icon.
