Since the MeltedJoystick Crew consists of three people with their own idiosyncratic quirks, sometimes our opinions on the same game won’t line-up. For every Steam game we curate, the Crew member who picked that game will be called out at the beginning of the recommendation summary. In order to be recommended, a game must receive an overall score of 3.5/5 or higher from at least one member of the MeltedJoystick Crew.


Chris[www.meltedjoystick.com] is the Community Manager for MeltedJoystick. He is obsessed with zombies, violence, lolis, Star Wars, and ketchup, not necessarily in that order. He will be perfectly happy to recommend a game featuring kawaii Japanese schoolgirls in the same breath as he’ll recommend the darkest, goriest horror games. His favorite genres are sandbox, first-person shooters, survival horror, and roguelikes.

Nelson[www.meltedjoystick.com] is a regular freelancer for MeltedJoystick and runs the site’s weekly editorial blog in addition to contributing irregular (and loooong) reviews. He’s an RPG snob and recovering PC gaming apostate who refuses to touch shooting games without his trusty Razer Hydra. He also hates hipsters, despite the fact that most of his recommendations will be Indie games. His favorite genres are RPGs, action/adventure, and platformers… preferably all in 2D.

Nick[www.meltedjoystick.com] is the Chief Technical Officer for all ImaJAN Media sites, including MeltedJoystick. He enjoys beer, bicycles, exercise, cars, and reality TV. He also enjoys collecting HumbleBundle games… but not so much playing them or reviewing them. His non-rolling stone might be convinced to stop gathering moss if one of our multi-player experiences affects him in an extremely negative or positive way, but don’t count on seeing many recommendations from him. His favorite genres are racing, college football, and tower defense.


MeltedJoystick is the social media network by gamers, for gamers. MeltedJoystick also features a quarterly Review Roundup (taking place at the end of February, May, August, and November). Each quarter, one winning review written by a site member is featured on the site blog. With the addition of Steam curation, any Featured User Review that is for a Steam game and rates the game 3.5/5 or higher will be included as one of our official recommendations.
