Welcome to the official community group for Lyceum Games

The Lyceum was an Ancient Greek school devoted to thought and philosophy. Lyceum Games is a modern reinvigoration of such a community. Our intention is to expand the boundaries of what a game is, creating high quality experiences that are both fun and memorable. In 2014 we intend to bring you the first creations of what we hope will be an ever-expanding catalogue of enjoyable and revolutionary games.

We currently have a few games in the works, two of which we intend to release in 2014. Of the two, Eudaimonia is the one we have been developing for the longest. Eudaimonia is intended to blend together not only genres, but mediums into one unique video game experience. Music and art both act not only as aesthetics, but game mechanics in an attempt to take your engagement with the story to a whole new level. The lives of three are yours to control in Eudaimonia. In unison with them, you will learn their idiosyncrasies and desires, guiding them through the vibrant city of Port Holtby – a city in desperate need of change.

Our company ethos is to create games and stories that are enjoyable, interactive experiences. Recently the thought came to us, ‘what is more interactive than allowing someone to change history? In The Meddler, changing (or entirely ruining) history is exactly what you will do. The tale follows the life of a student tormented by their history teacher. Stumbling upon a secret wonder, our young protagonist finds themself on an odyssey across the ages. From Ancient Greece and the formation of Christianity, through to the Renaissance and Revolutions, history will be under your control. In this platform game, each age will be designed upon the thoughts of that time, leading to unique gameplay and puzzles that collaborate with your ability to master and manipulate history to see how different this world could be.
