Keys are worth 17 ref at the moment I'm writing this... Where did we go wrong?

As most of you in this group can see, the TF2 economy may disappear by itself, because of that incredible key's increase in price.

I mean, when the Mannconomy update released, including the trading system and more importantly, keys and crates. A small economy was born around TF2. People were trading away their metal for keys, so they could uncrate, and get some nice weapons that could count kills (not in the first crates though) and hats. Keys were worth 2.33 refined at this time. Three years later, we notice the metal's value decreased, since a key was worth 5.33 ref, about one year ago. But only 6 months ago, during the Love and War update, the inflation of keys drove it to the monstruous price of 8 ref. Then, today, it's worth SEVENTEEN refined metals. Is the key's price victim fo a manipulation? Well, it is very believable, but i couldn't explain why doing such a thing. Maybe to allow some rich key owners to ger richer. But that's not the point of the group. Before, uncrating wasn't a "waste" : What you uncrated (strange or hat) was worth around half of a key. Now, it's like a 15th. So people uncrate less and less, knowing that they have a very little chance to get an unusual, and that they're wasting money in uncrating items. WHy would they uncrate? It's much cheaper to buy those ! I'm afraid that players wont even uncrate the upcoming crates in the future updates, scared of loosing their precious money. Then we will have less stuff, more players pissed off, and the community is going to get off TF2 by itself.

And that's the major problem of TF2 : players have grew up. Now they've lost the sense of the word "fun". They do believe in "value" and "money". They have become greedy.

Please, I'm sincerely asking you to join this group, to help this message to have more weight. The more support we will recieve, the stronger we will get. All I wanted creating this group, is to save the community. TF2 is an extremely enjoyable game, I don't want it to be forgotten now.
