I downloaded and installed the Runtime for DirectX 9.0c from 2010 at this website. Once I did that, everything ran correctly.

I'm having an audio issue and would love your input.
I have purchased and installed Contraption Maker from Steam this week and unfortunately the game does not have sound on my Windows 11 Home PC. I have looked around the community forums and tried everything I found with no luck. I've tried validating game files, setting output device, running as administrator, and reinstalling the game, and running in compatibility mode. Anything else I can try?
The Incredible Machine: Contraptions defined my life back in 2000 and inspired my love of engineering! When I found out Contraption Maker exists, I was ecstatic to play it. I hope to play it in its full glory with sound! Thanks for any and all guidance on this!
