bought kenshi about 5 hours ago and have been troubleshooting to get it to run, as it load in launcher it crashes around the same time repetitively/ game files are verified

My ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ characters are not loading in. This happened after HOURS of game play and development. The game will start up and the NPCs will go about their business, but my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crew is gone.
