Server Updates

Some updates have gone into effect.

Grass Off:
We've re-added the Grass off plugin. What this does is turn the grass off by default. We know that the grass has been updated, but believe that players are still experiencing lag from it. Therefore, we've turned it off by default but you can always turn it on in console (F1) with the command "grass.on true". This plugin also removes the little update notification in the top right of the screen.

Structure Removal:
You can now remove structures that are on foundations YOU have placed! Now if you mess up in building a base or need to expand for a friend or group mate, you can! You'll need to use a Pick Axe to do this, and you'll have to hit the structure twice to get rid of it. Be careful though, because we won't be replacing any lost items. (You may or may not get back the structure item or resources from it).

Base Alarm:
We've implemented a Base Alarm plugin. What this will do is alert you of any players attacking your base. Now attackers will have to be weary of when they attack and defenders will have to be vigilant to get back with /home safely and not die. Good luck!

Price List / Prices:
We've added additional prices to the list! Use /price to check what we have. Also if you haven't noticed, /price will show a list of categories. You'll need to use /price "category" to get the prices of items in those categories.

Wood structures now cost much more than $10, so you'll have to go out and gather wood now (or kill a bunch of zombies and buy the structures if that's your style).

We'd like to host some build-off competitions in the future (all materials will be supplied) so make sure you subscribe to this group and get your friends to subscribe so that you will all be informed on when or where this will be going down.

Bounty:
This plugin isn't new, but I wanted to remind you guys of our /bounty feature. I've seen a lot of PVP, which I like. This server is after all a PVP server. If you can't manage to get back at a player for killing you, then you can always start a /bounty on them for others to get paid to kill them.

Server Updates

What we've updated on the server:

Decay:
We've added an anti-decay plugin to the game. Now decaying on your structures won't happen unless directly attacked by other players. The only exceptions are Spike Walls. We will update the plugin to include the Spike Walls once it is available.

Home:
Now you can /sethome to create a teleport point. Once you've set your home you can TP home with /home. Useful for visiting friends and want to get back to your base quickly. Remember, there is a delay in the teleportation so getting away from someone isn't always an option.

Share Door:
Now you can share your doors with a passcode or completely unlock your doors by pressing and holding "e". We've left the /share command on though as many of you already have this enabled and might find this easier. Please be aware that some of you may have experienced a wipe on your /share settings. This is due to the updates that were incurred.

Private Messaging:
You can private message anyone with /pm. You can now also private message yourself (for all of your schizophrenic conversations).

Coming Soon...

Website:
Our website is under development. The website will be available to anyone who wishes to join and partake. We will have a community resource where you can create groups for your clan and private forums for them. There will also be additional features, like a rating system on our servers and a quick connect option.

Paid Features:
We will be selling features to those who wish to pay for them. We will sell monthly subscriptions and one time payments (these will be for in game money which you can then use to /buy any items). This will be useful for building quickly, acquiring new items (and even admin items), and for "Getting Back" at those players who raided you. The monthly subscriptions will have features such as teleportation and ability to access the admins chat channel. (More features will be added over time).

Additional Servers:
We're looking at obtaining additional servers. We currently have a TeamSpeak server that is being set up (by Moderator ian) in addition to our Mumble server. We're also looking into getting servers for other popular games (DayZ, CS:GO, etc...).

If you have any requests for features or services, let us know and we'll do our best to implement them so long as they add value to our community.

Admin Abuse:
We take admin abuse very seriously. If you aren't having fun, then we aren't doing it right. That being said, we also need you to understand that our admins are doing a job that is unpaid. Being so new to this role, there also may be circumstances in which an issue arises. These issues will be delt with, but at the same time, they are to be learned from. We aren't going to ban players or demote admins when these issues occur. Our goal at this point, is to move past these issues and look forward to building a stronger and better community experience for everyone.
