3hr games are cool, 5hrs a little too much for weekdays, unless broken into 2 sessions. I'm OK with taking up someone's progress or let someone take my place if I can't continue playing for some real world reason.
I do find it sad that an successful invasion of mine tends to make the player on the receiving end quit the current game.
I would gladly accept a truce but no one used it.
I have been steam rolled over once which I replied, "Take my home system for your supremacy victory."
I have also had a wonderful game in which there was this prolonged war that started at round 15 or so and continued to 70. Until it was too late in the day.
