This group is for all of the Insurgency Mappers to come together. Considering we are such a small group of individuals, I figured it would be beneficial to work together and help one another out with testing, ideas, issues, showing off new material.. etc. So invite all your mapping buddies and let's help each other out by keeping this great game alive with new material created by us, the community.

New World Streaming today Sunday @2PM EST

A couple weeks ago we launched our map contest with Gamebanana and Mapcore, sponsored by Corsair, and are already seeing some awesome maps being developed. Participants have until November 24th to create, test and upload an original or Day of Defeat inspired map for Day of Infamy. And it's not too late to get started!

Hosts will be lead level designer Jeroen Van Werkhoven and community manager Michael Tsarouhas. First they'll go over the levels posted so far on Mapcore[www.mapcore.org] and give feedback. Then they'll hop into Source's Hammer level editor and create a level with help from the chat, going over what exactly makes for a good map. And as always, there will be a Q&A section at the end for questions about mapping, Day of Infamy, or any of New World's projects. Check out the Steam event for the stream here. We'll see you there!

Woops, meant .vpk. There should be a ton in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\insurgency2\insurgency m8

uhh i don't see .pak filetype either, or elsewhere in the insurgency2 folder.

Try the same directories in the .pak files.

hey the common==>insurgency2==>insurgency==>maps file has only .bsp and.nav file types. It has no txt files with scripts and I have no idea where to find them. Any help?

Seems like not many recent posts so im hoping this group isnt dead, but would anybody like to playtest community maps? i'm currently making my first DOI map and it isn't ready yet but when it is I would love to play with some people. It's not a great map and idk if I'll finish it but I would love to learn from it and atleast have fun with some players.
