There have been some significant changes over the last few weeks for both the DayZ servers. The most recent change comes with the first release of the DayZ Expansion mod. This mod was created by the community with the support of Bohemia Interactive which means it is here to stay. The best part is it falls in line with vanilla practices and feels as if it were released by the DayZ team. On the other side of that lies a problem that will hopefully be overcome soon.

Many of the mods are not compatible with this release. Which may cause a large amount of servers to drop these mods in favor of the DayZ Expansion mod. That is my guess anyway. Regardless of incompatibles this new mod enhances DayZ in almost every way imaginable. Color saturation makes for a more striking environment. The group system makes it much easier to play with friends. While many other improvements make the game more immersive. That’s not even including the helicopters.

DayZ Expansion

DayZ Expansion is a mod that brings a lot of new features and content into DayZ and changes the way DayZ is played, the mod contains many features and Quality of Life (QoL) improvements.

The mod consists of many features and modules, almost everything is this mod can be fine-tuned and changed, enabled, or disabled by you or server you play on to make it feel exactly how you want it to.
