ABOUT Homicide at Hennessey Hall

You are cordially invited to the
100th Solstice Ball
At Hennessey Hall
5pm, Thursday, June 20th

For one hundred years the Hennessey family has hosted a grand ball on the summer solstice. Securing a ticket to the ball is considered the goal of the season for every society-minded man and woman.

The ball commenced with a five course feast for select guests in the grand dining hall. At precisely 7:00 pm, the doors to the ballroom opened and there was music and dancing and champagne aplenty. At 7:42, a maid discovered the bodies of William and Elizabeth Hennessey in the front parlor.

At 7:46 a call was placed to the dispatch of the local police, who immediately sent over a squad and a detective to solve the crime. The Detective recognized the signs of a well-known serial killer and has narrowed down the list to these suspects, and has dismissed the rest of the guests.

Until the murderer is detained, all suspects will remain on the premises. No one will leave, unless it is in handcuffs or a body bag.

This is going to be a sort of murder mystery game, similar to the "Mafia v2" which is currently happening on the CsN forums, except its going to be run a little differently, a little more involved, and we haven't decided if its going to occur on the CsN forums as well or within this steam group only.

If you've been a part of any murder mystery parties, you'll be a little more familiar with how this runs, but we're sort of combining it with the format of the TV show, "Whodunnit?". If you would like to understand a little bit of how it works, feel free to look the episodes up on Youtube.

The Hunt Begins.

Upon learning that the dastardly murderer in Hennessey Hall was none other than conspiracy theorist and nerd Alvin Springer, police rushed to investigate his home for information on how or why he committed these ghastly murders.

After a short search of his home, they found him.

Dead, sitting in a chair infront of his computer, slouched over with a knife stuck in his back. Attached to the handle was an envelope. Inside was a typewriter typed letter reading...

"Greetings and salutations! If you're reading this, it means you've found Springer's corpse. It also means my stunt at the Hall went off rather well. Allow me to introduce myself. You can call me Mr. E. You're probably wondering why I went out of my way to slaughter the Hall's hosts, staff, and guests. I thought'd it'd be fun, honestly. Now that that's out of the way, we can move on to the fun part. The How! If you go back to the hall now, you should find I've left a stash, a genuine Treasure Trove of information. Also the missing investigation notes the investigator left out of me to steal. You'll find my next note at the sight of Murder #1

After releasing themselves from their bonds, Alvin and Ophelia raced to the attic to confront the murderer. When they got there, the room was empty.

Slowly, turning to each other in confusion, they immediately drew their weapons, accusing each other.

The stand-off lasted for a few tense minutes, until Agent Doneugenio burst through the door, throwing off his binds and dodging the deadly guillotine blade at the last minute.

He too drew his weapon, and pointed it at Ophelia. Alvin swung his gun to point at Donny.

A terse silence lasted a few moments, until Alvin burst into awkward laughter. Ophelia and Doneugenio awkwardly followed.
Alvin then stopped laughing abruptly and pulled a remote out of his pocket and pushed a button.
Suddenly, noise erupted from all around them, causing them to cover their ears and drop their weapons:

Alvin then shot Doneugenio, and dashed out a window.

Through a long and very dragged out game of murder, our dastardly villain ended up being revealed as our very own Alvin Springer.
