There are too many cis characters in Garfield. In fact, I don't think there's a single LGBTQ+ character in the comics/show/Bill Murray film. Also what's up with the main human characters being wh*te? It's 2021 and it's time we start adding characters into the realm with LGBTQ+ affiliations or hey, who knows? Maybe Garfield is bisexual or maybe Jon is a FTM trans body of color. I still love Garfield but this issue really needs to be corrected. Maybe it's time for Jim Davis (a straight white man) to retire and be replaced by a lesbian or a trans person.
