Enough is Enough

In recent years, as the so-called woke movement got derailed into something a lot scarier, certain trends have started making their appearance in pop culture. Presented generally as progressive and pro-equality, they often are used to mask a different form of bias.

Two specific trends that have become increasingly common in recent, mainly western games is what this curator is going to be focusing on, those are:
- Misandry. Aggressive, hateful and/or unfair representations of men as weak, emasculated, evil and so on individuals. This is often masked as pro-woman advocacy, but there is a difference. A strong woman doesn't need to be putting down men to be strong.
- Forced diversity. Particularly when white, heteronormative people are being marginalised and/or when diversity makes no sense. Having a large number of Latinos in a game taking place in modern LA is fine and good. Having a large number of Asians in a game set in ancient Rome is not.

Please do note that fantasy settings won't be spared with the excuse that it is fantasy. A fantasy world needs to be internally consistent as well and our world is the baseline. Unless there is a fair explanation for deviations, the baseline will be applied.

The ratings will not be based on the overall quality of the games, the purpose is not to review that. Only to specifically examine for the elements in question:
- Recommended, games without either of the above described issues.
- Informative, games that do fall into those pitfalls but not overtly so.
- Not Recommended, games that contains egregious examples of one or both issues.

Anyone who would like to assist by offering information on games is welcome to participate. Simply keep in mind the below 2 rules:
- Only comments from people that have played a game themselves will be considered. Hearsay is not good enough. If you would like to help with providing information, make sure you have played the game.
- Absolutely no hateful content is allowed. A good conduct and attitude is mandatory to participate.
