It has been 3 years since the first group's entrance and subsequent disappearance into the portal. The grasslands portal was destroyed in an unknown explosion and attempts to rebuild it using the pieces left behind have resulted in a smaller and much more unstable portal, capable of only traveling from Land's End to the grasslands. And so all exploration deeper into the unknown realm has ground to a halt. As more explorers and settlers come through the portal however, the need for expansion has grown. This has led to frequent clashes with the kobold and hobgoblin tribes living outside in the grasslands as the people coming from the portal slowly encroach more and more on their living spaces. The need for more capable warriors to explore new territories and conquer old ones has sparked a second portal rush as hundreds upon hundreds of new faces make the trek to the portal entrance in the old world. It will be up to them to shape the new world as they see fit.
