Practice Tournament (24/09/2016)

Greetings all,

We will be conducting the first tournament on Saturday, the 24th of September. The first Round will start at 6PM, sharp. You are advised to be present ten minutes ahead of time. We expect the final match to conclude before 9PM. Should it happen that we do not hit this target, remaining matches will be played the following day.

Unfortunately, we are not able to stream any of the matches, but results will be posted immediately after each match.

This will be a round-robin tournament. That means every hunter team plays every monster, overall winners are decided by points.

For this tournament, we will be unable to accomodate hunters who find themselves without a team. In future tournaments, steps will be taken to assist such players in competing as well.

Under ideal conditions (100% participation, etc), we should have 4 hunter teams and 4 monsters. This should result in 16 matches.

• Type: This will not be a Master Tourney. Players will be free to repeatedly play the same class or character. Please be aware that everyone, including monster players, will see your stats post-game and try to counter your composition.
  
• Team compositions: For this tournament, players will be restricted to either registering as a monster, or as a hunter. In subsequent tournaments, we will look into systems to accomodate the removal of this limitation. Unlike other leagues (eg. ESL), monsters will not be part of the hunter team. At the end of the tournament, there will be a hunter team winner and a monster winner.
  
• Registration: Team captains and Monsters should indicate their interest in the tournament as a response to this announcement. Team captains should also list their team members in their post. For clarity's sake, any other posts will be removed. The cut-off date for registration is Monday, the 12th of September. No submissions will be accepted after 12/09/2016 23:59.
  
• Attendance:
  Monsters: Please note that if you are not present at the time of your match, it will count as an automatic loss.
  Hunters: If one of your team members are not present at the time of your match, and a replacement is not found in time; it will also count as an automatic loss. There will be a time limit of ten minutes after your match would have started to find a replacement. The replacement will have to be cleared.
  
• Conduct: Participants will be expected to maintain proper conduct. Transgressions might result in disqualification.
  
• Rewards/Prizes: Talks are still being had, but participants should prepare themselves for the possibility that there might not be any prizes outside recognition and a permanent place on the stats-page for the winners.
  
• Cheating/Hacking: Any form of cheating/hacking will result in a ban not only for this tournament, but for all subsequent ones as well. This ban will be permanent and irreversible.

Should it happen that you are currently aware of possible conflicts (eg. traffic) that might prevent you from being present for the start of the tournament (6PM), please let your team captains know, so they can in turn inform us in their registration post. Should such a notification happen before the cut-off date for registration (Monday, Sept 12), steps will be taken to accomodate you. Any other method of contact or any notification after the cut-off date will not be considered.
