The reclusive Association of Esquires.

es·quire (skwr, -skwr)
n.
1. A man or boy who is a member of the gentry in England ranking directly below a knight.
2. Abbr. Esq. Used as an honorific usually in its abbreviated form, especially after the name of an attorney or a consular officer: Mr Omecron Esq.; Mr Hodgey Esq.
3. In medieval times, a candidate for knighthood who served a knight as an attendant and a shield bearer.
4. Archaic An English country gentleman; a squire.

From 31/05/09 the group has become public. We will attempt to increase member numbers and hence appoint more admins. In the longer term we will aim to find and challenge other small groups on steam to games (probably of Team Fortress 2).


It is not compulsary to adopt "Mr" and "Esq." to be part of the group - but admins are prone to favouritism. If you would like a group avatar (see MattJB's profile for an example) feel free to contact Mr Omecron Esq. via steam.

Plan for the Future

Upon careful thought and considerable consideration Hodgey and I have decided upon the following plan of action:

- The group will be made public in an effort to bolster the number of members. To make this process more simple we will remove the requirement to adopt "Mr" or "Esq." (see point 2).

- If enough new members join we will appoint more admins. Of course admins will be required to adopt "Mr" and "Esq." into their names and use an official group avatar.

- When we consider ourselves ready, we will try to find another small group on steam and challenge them to a game of Team Fortress 2 (we would need at least 30 members probably in order to get a team together.)


If we get at least the first two points done then this scheme will be considered a success. At least we want to increase member numbers - invite whomever you want into the group :)

Let me know what you think! I'm wondering whether to offer recoloured member avatars - maybe I'll use a colour other than red to differentiate them from admins... Comments are welcome.

I've been thinking of joining this group for awhile, i finally got convinced by Gryphian, i love the sniper, and i'm an expert with the Huntsman, if you need a good sniper, i'm your man ^_^
