I'm sure most of you have already seen the news - DiRT Rally 2.0 announced and (for the first time since the original Colin McRae Rally) New Zealand is in!

Codemasters should have learned a lot of lessons from DiRT 4. Nice to see hand-crafted stages confirmed, and we should expect groups & events etc to be in from launch (so here's hoping we get the chance to smoke the rest of the world in the Race Department Rally Championship)

Some awesome additions like tire selection and stage deformation should hopefully make things super interesting.

I'm just really curious to see where in NZ they base the stages off. My gut feel at the moment is the Motu considering a couple of screenshots I've seen.

The NZ road looks too red to me based on footage we've got, which is a bit of a worry - but their VFX guy has said it's just the time of day that makes it look like Australia, and that it'll definitely be true to NZ.
