ABOUT Dystopia Gaming

The Legacy of Dystopia Gaming

The steam group's creation date is not when this group was formed. Dystopia Gaming was really formed back in early 2008. - We did not use Steam back then, so a group was never really needed. This group was created for the nostalgia factor... As a way for us to remember the legacy of what were some of our most fond gaming years.

Dystopia Gaming began as suprtioritY compleX [yx] in the game Enemy Territory: Quake Wars. We later changed the name to the [(Crayons)]>

We were group of players who were tired of the egotistical competitive scene and decided to make our own clan that valued fun above winning. As a "pub clan" many of the top teams (in the small ET:QW scene) thought we would not be able to compete on their level, but we quickly proved that we would not only compete with them, but take rounds and matches off them as well.

Founding members of the clan were Ampjet, PrettyLush, Varth, Bratag (TakeItFromMe), Bow and Lemiwinks.

We each had our own color and would tag up like this:
[(Pink)]> Lemiwinks or [(Blue)]> Bratag

As the Quake Wars scene fizzled out, some of the team members parted ways, but the majority of us continued on to new games. Our main focus became Call of Duty 4.

During the CoD4 era, we played under several tags and sponsorships, such as Clone Gaming and FUSION eSports.

Various members of the team came and went but our core remained intact with Intimacy, BMFX, and Drake (NoodleShield) joining Ampjet, Varth, and Lemiwinks to solidify the squad.

As time went on, we finally decided to go independent from our sponsors, and began to play under the name Dystopia Gaming. We played at several LAN tournaments together and had top finishes in CoD4 and CoD:WaW.

We all still remain friends to this day, and this group is a testiment to our legacy.
