Founded in 1991 by Edward DiRanka, DiRanka Investment Ltd. is a globally dominant company. Edward DiRanka spent the majority of his formative years in Devonport High School for Boys in Plymouth. After obtaining 14 A*s at GCSE and 6 A*s at A-level, he read Economics and Management at The University of Oxford, graduating with a first class degree. He has described his years at Oxford as "some of the best [he] has ever lived".

Shortly after the end to his formal education, he moved back to Plymouth and wasted no time in founding a business. Equipped with grit and determination, he used his unique mathematical prowess to produce models on the profits of certain companies. His methods have received international acclaim from top mathematicians, statisticians and economists across the world and have proved to be highly successful in generating profit.

In 1995, he met Charles-Maurice de Ranque, a year in which his business saw a remarkable spark in success as a result of the world-class insight brought to the table by Charles. Entrusting de Ranque with the role of 'managing director', he has since elevated their company to the next level, hiring exceptional individuals to work alongside the two and providing a fresh innovative approach. After just ten years, they had earned over ten million pounds.

Edward was knighted by Her Majesty The Queen in 2001 for his outstanding contribution to the world of finance. This is a major landmark in his life and one of the most important in shaping who he is today, not only as an individual, but as a businessman. From this year onward, he was recognised to an even greater extent than before as a highly successful businessman, and entrepreneurs approached him more frequently than ever before.

In the present day, Edward's role is focused more on education. Playing 12 hours of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive per day, he frequently advises young men and women on their business choices while ingame. He describes this work as "extremely gratifying". It is worth noting that many of these individuals come back years later as outstanding entrepreneurs and offer their personal thanks to Edward. This illustrates the value of his judgement and his generous character. Retaining all of his initial excitement and love for business, he never hesitates to help others be as successful as he has become.
