The year is 1783, in the year of our Lord. The British, leaders of the current most powerful empire in the world, have been, not only defeated by men who they thought were inferior, but embarassed. With a victory at the hands of the Americans, a revolution born in the cries for liberty, the very ideology has sent ripples through the civilized world. Now, throughout the Old World, ruled by kings and emperors, calls for the same have been made. Will the world look to the rule of the people, or to the ancient regimes of old?

~Apostolus Americanorum - Apostle of the Americans - 1783~

The forging of the United States as a sovereign nation, throwing off the British Crown's power, was a shock to the World. Even so, the Holy Father, from the confines of the Eternal City, has appointed Fr. John Carroll, a prominent, Maryland-born Missionary, to the office of the Superior of the Missions in the Thirteen United States of North America. Though the size of the American clergy and the congregation in the United States is not yet large enough to warrant an official diocese, this prominent and highly esteemed Clergyman has been seen fitting, due to his experience and his American birth. The death of Bishop Challoner of London has left the American Catholic Community leaderless for a number of years. As a result, Carroll shall, until the Community grows, act as the de facto Primate of the American Catholic Church.

Ultimaitum to Josen - 究極の朝鮮

The Tokugawa Shogunate hereby delivers a full list of demands to the Kingdom of Josen for failing to respond to the demand to secede the Island of Jeju to the Empire.

*The Tokugawa Shogunate is to recieve the Island of Jeju
*The Tokugawa Shogunate is to recieve all islands off the coast of the southern section of the Korean peninsula
*The Tokugawa Shogunate is to annex the city of Incheon (Near Seoul)
*The Tokugawa shogunate is to take control of the the provinces of Jeonnam and Gyeongnam
*Kingdom of Joseon is to become a dominion/tributary of the Tokugawa shogunate, and 5% of all income is to be sent to our Kingdom

In return for acceptance of these demands, the Tokugawa Shogunate will do the following:

*Indefinitely protect the Kingdom of Joseon from external forces
*Supply the Kingdom of Joseon with any material nessicary to function in times of crisis
*Integrate the Kingdom of Joseon economically with the rest of the Tokugawa Shogunate

The Kingdom of Joseon must respond immediatley to the demands of the Tokugawa Shogunate or military action will be taken.
