ABOUT Collegium

Currently accepting Apprenticeships

What are Collegia?

Collegia are the plural of collegium and translates as "joined by law". They are the oldest known form of highly organized and regulated merchants, craftsmen, religious, and political guilds. After the fall of the Roman Empire, the collegia can be most easily seen translated into the Medieval guild system which still has remnants in contemporary times.

Collegia and PW

Generally speaking, the collegia are not warring factions and do not seek to take, purely by force, any strongholds belonging to another as long as fair standing with the collegia as a whole has been maintained and the collegia are free to apply their trade.

The Collegium

Collegium is a Persistent World guild for Mount & Blade: Warband. The Collegium specializes in financial matters and all activities pertaining to them.

While our, the Collegium's, castle is the guild's bank we do maintain a strong interest on the map due to our financial status, control of essential trade routes, and trade resources. At times we may own hard points to maintain fair and stable trade lanes, but our goal is never war purely for war's sake.

Collegium's Basic Policies and Intentions

Despite peaceful ambition and financial focus the Collegium's wealth has led to a sizable amount of revenue for implements of war, adding to the rolls those to use them, and private charter of fiefdoms to aid the Collegium if need arise.

The Collegium maintains sovereign status in matters of internal politics, but will only privately swear charters to factions supporting the Collegium and representing themselves in like manner.

To join the rolls or establish charter contact the Founders of the Collegium: Aequitas, Sulo, or Villano

Understanding the Hierarchy

The Founders transfer Apprentices to Journeymen after three successful trips; pay rates increase as rank increases. Transfer from Journeyman to Master requires unanimous Founder approval and three-fourths approval from those on the roll as Masters. All party members are expected to abide by the Ordinance of the Collegium, and Apprenticeship does not provide tenure.

Ordinance of the Collegium

The Collegium's present business is always the priority.

Personal endeavor and success is highly encouraged so long as it does not detriment the Collegium or any established charters.

Support and lend a hand to your fellow man, and be giving with coin and advice.

Integrity violations are dealt with in swift and fair manner.

Each individual is responsible for his actions, and the actions he may cause as a result.

As of establishment, all subsequent rules, regulations, and private charters are expected to be understood and recognized by each individual member.
