"These people honor me with their lips,

but their hearts are far from me."

Matthew 15:8

This basically means that it's not enough to SAY you're a Christian, to go through all the rituals, to say all the words, to shake hands with the right people. If you honor God with your lips, but not with your heart, it means nothing.

God is actively pursuing you, He is CRAZY about you, He wants to have a relationship with you!

You'll notice that a lot of scripture is based on love.

And if you can't love the thing that made the universe and everything good within it, then you need more practice loving!
