The God of Chaos Nargule is Hope to The Realm of Chaos!

Most do not know much about Chaos despite the materials that are readily published and available out there... Your average person just thinks Chaos is some kind of hydra of the primearchs that somehow got ahold of a strange energy that consumed them and they ran off to form their own splinter group using tamed-daemons and magical spells they somehow acquired.

This pervasive stereotype, myth, and fairytale has nothing to do with Chaos IRL... The real Realm of Chaos is nothing like that and it's fiction world equivalent is nothing like that either (both are very closely aligned). This idea stems from the temptation of believing in a fantastical and "easy" or underground route to get into one of the Space Marines chapters. First; Space Marines are ridiculously powerful as they are bionically and genetically enhanced mortals/mankinds and have technology that is comparable to a Covenant Elite's arsenal as a squad of approximately 8 Space Marines can take on the Teen Titan's Cyborg from DC Comics.

A decent Imperium Commissar is very close to the Captain America of today's Marvel world(s) and could take on the same group's Robin alone. A Primearch is the rough equivalent of a God of Chaos (also known as a Chaos Primearch) and could take on the entire Justice League with just themselves and their personal assigned bodyguards. A Primearch alone is expected to be able to take on Superman (modern age of comics, post infinite-crisis) in a one on one and be able to make it back home in one piece (some, such as Vulkan would win easily as Vulkan who is the Inhuman Maximus' counterpart and at the level of Onslaught who is Professor X fused with Magneto). Superman would be considered a fine "Kal-El" or a fire caste commander of the TAU Empire (perhaps he arrived early? haha!), but that is a side note for another day.

An Imperium Guardsman would be the rank at which almost all recruits end up from the Imperium of Man (all of mankind and it's colonial worlds/annexed worlds/various forced-servants). These grunts of various ranks would be equivalent in power level to the Star Wars' Empire's stormtroopers, battledroids, or clonetroopers depending on the specific IOM unit/commissar's discretions.

Now back to Chaos... You see, when we created this group on the video games platform Steam as ChaosIRL, we didn't realize people would be so surprised it only had a single member (myself) in it. I thought it hilarious, but not on a cosmic level until I might have heard some remarks that "you guys [ChaosIRL group] look like losers and nobody would want to join". Now it's hilarious on a cosmic level!

"Beyond the boundaries of physical space, unrestricted by time or causality, there is a dimension incomprehensible to mortal minds. It lies on the other side of dreams and nightmares, infinite in scope but without form or structure. This realm is composed of the psychic energy of love and hate, fear and hope, ambition and despair, and yet it is uncaring, emotionless void."

Basically... Chaos does not recruit... It does not have actual mortals/mens/newbies who signed up at a booth with military personnel sitting there. Chaos is made up of the following sentients:

1. The Four Gods of Chaos (Khorne, "Blood for the blood god, skulls for his throne!" is always first, foremost, and highest there!!)

Khorne in other mythologies can be thought of as the manifestation of the Titan Kronos/Chronos, Father of Time, as he changed over the years into WarHammer40k/IOMSpace. Even the logo of all the Realms of Chaos points to this fact as the symbol of Chaos is a big clockface!

The other three in this group are basically always the adopted children of Khorne for various reasons (see their origin stories, for IRL example: http://godsofchaos.wikia.com/nurgle). Khorne is literally older than Genesis in the bible seen on Earth(s)/Alternate Earth and it's unknown how powerful he is, but it is enough that the Imperium of Man treats him as a significant threat to the God Emperor who is waning in power as he ages on, though eternal he be. In Marvel Comics, you would know Khorne as Dormamu who is the Teen Titan Raven's father where he is so powerful he has transcended beyond fighting himself and is more of an occassional comedic relief with his indestructible and immortal cohorts, Galactus (the biblical God), Beyonder, Madame Web, and Thanos with his Infinity Gauntlet.

Like the God Emperor, Khorne lets his adoptive children/seeds do the grunt work for him and mostly just hovers around as an ominous force or voice of reason whenever a storyline calls for them to wheel in a cabbage cart or something.

2. The Minor Gods of Chaos/Chaos Primearchs

Nargule, Tzeentch, Slaanesh are basically just Vulkan, Horus, and Ciaphas Cain on the other side of the table. Some writers might even allude to them as alter egos of one another, but that is far from canon/reality/proven-fact.

These would be the equivalents of Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades of the Greek Pantheon on both sides. Quick note: For those not familiar with WarHammer40k's lore, asking where is Khorne is akin to asking "Where is God's younger evil brother?

These 3 of Chaos (and also the same 3 of the IOM) are so powerful that they have the power to give power at levels unimaginable to the average mortal mind at rest. Each one has a different and unique pathway to which they do so, if they choose to do so at all (as it's never required for them) since they basically have no bosses... for as long as one can foresee; anywhere they go.

For Chaos, which is the topic at hand here, the ways with which everything runs changes periodically with drastic differences depending on who takes charge. It used to be called The Legion of Chaos, then the Forces of Chaos, now the Realm of Chaos. In any case, Chaos based on what we would call "The Ethereal World" where the films Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, Inuyasha, and Escaflowne have inspire in/see in part due to proximities of similarities. This Chaos plane is able to generate spiritual (known as immaterial) sentients who are summoned into the physical realm (such as this Alternate Earth) by the Gods of Chaos who are all either Khorne's three adoptive children or one of those 3's appointed "Chaos Primearchs" or "UnderBoss". These summons are created by an unknown process from beyond by Khorne himself from the emotions (typically the negative emotions) felt by sentient things that flow and ebb into the Realm of Chaos.

Hence, one does not need to join Chaos nor is there any way to join Chaos as it is a spiritual force that has few bodies asides from the select few. Imagine the Lord of the Ring's ghost army from Return of the King... that is basically another version of Chaos with 1 person leading it (a Chaos God albeit).

3. The Daemon Princes and Chaos Priestesses ("like a Red Priestess")

These would be the various lords of Chaos whom can command the forces of Chaos, but not summon new legionnaires of Chaos directly themselves without approval from their God of Chaos/Chaos Primearch. They are the near exact equivalent of Imperium Commissars and typically command as many legions (a legion being 4,000 to 5,000 sentients) as necessary to maintain their outpost, do their duties, or carry their missions as required by their Primearchs.

Like the Chaos Primearchs/Minor Gods of Chaos, these may be chosen directly from the Realm of Chaos, taken from the legionnaires on the field (who have proven their valor/talents/tenacities), or from outside of Chaos as any sentient thing from any race whether it is from robotkind like the android Necrons or the Tyranids of outerworld origins can be gifted the powers of a Chaos. This, however, rarely ever happens and is akin to once in a blue moon as the Gods of Chaos see no reason as to why they cannot just choose from their own ranks rather than what they view as "lowerfolk" from outside of the Realm of Chaos, including mankind and its mortals.

The current reigning regime in the Realm of Chaos for all Chaos legionnaires is by Nurgle (also spelled Nargule), former human male sentient of Alternate Earth, as of 2018 for all Chaos in Orion's Arms and as far as Alpha Centauri/Virgo (if not further...). He has declared himself "the manifestation of Death", having fully rooted himself in a 30 year old mortal man's body as hostform, and is now going by the self-given names of "Loki", "Zeratul", and "Nosferatu". He has made sweeping changes and numerous decisive purges across all of Chaos after his crushing victory over his fellow God of Chaos Tzeentch (Master Sun Tzu in past life), who says "Nurgle is ultimate power... Exodia!? It's the only way!!"

At the time of this writing, the God of Chaos Nurgle has declared that he is synonymus with "Khorne himself" and it is okay to refer to him as "Son of Khorne" or simply "Khorne". All of the known Chaos groups and personnels IRL have already committed to "Loki Zeratul" (Nurgle's claimed alter egos) and whatever his confusing plans are for world conquests and domination of all worlds. Many groups in the local galaxies' Covenants of the High Councilars/Arbiters, Imperium of Mankins (IOM-IRL), and Cybertron/DecepticonsIRL have also accepted Nurgle as "King of Orion's Arm" and "the ruling cosmic hegemony of over 66 galaxies"; some without any conflict for whatever reason(s).

As of yesterday, the Digimon World IRL was shown to have been completely annexed by the Realm of Chaos and Chaos God Nurgle has taken on the additional titular of "Royalmon" (while naming one of his Deamon Lords "Chaos Greymon"). Latveria and Wakanda seem to be in the sightlines for this ambitious God of Chaos who is said to be "exactly like a suicide grunt that was made Arbiter for whatever reason".

Tomorrow, at the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles, Chaos is expected to appear at a United Nation's for-invitee event with the LA Mayor Eric Garcetti and Alyssa Milano. It is unknown what the agenda is asides from the 71st anniversary celebrations for Universal Declarations of Human Rights.
