For those wondering why the server hasn't been up for a day, the save got corrupt, and although I have a backup not far in the past, the incident has been the straw that broke the camel's back. Between KLEI constantly breaking things and having to deal with mod compatibilities with frequent game updates that barely change anything but still somehow break things, I've decided to check out of the game. Having done everything there is to do in the game, I barely played and our first crop of regulars have mostly move onto other things as well. The hassle of maintaining the kind of server we had isn't really worth it to me anymore, and I'd rather not half-ass it so I've decided to simply shut it down.
