The Duchy of Brittany

Welcome loyal subjects of Bretagne, to the capital of Brittany, the castle city of Rennes, make yourself at home and tonight dine well, for tomorrow we go to war with the perifidous french! Who dare invade our sovreign lands!


The Hierarchy of Brittany:

Havoc, Duke of Brittany, Count of Rennes

Wunderbar, Count of Nantes and Cornouaille

Zipscool, Count of Vannes

Vacant, Count of Penthievre

Nastyman, Count of Leon


Foreign Powers:

Countess Alais of Thouars (French, second sister to King Philip)
Count William of Mortain (Norman, vassal of Duke William of Normandy)
Count Gaston of Maine (French, vassal of Duke Louis)
Duke Louis of Anjou (French, vassal of King Philip)


Each county has an opening for a mayor and bishop, whose actions are determined by events until real people take their place.

All but Leon can have an extra mayor, bishop or baron. Rennes and Nantes can each have two due to their size.

Mayors have cities, Bishops have Bishoprics (Funny but shh) and Barons have Baronies (A castle similiar to that of a county, but not the county capital).

Beware, make sure your 'vassals' are loyal, or they could turn against you in a bloody coup or worse yet a shady plot!

Also beware foreign powers, they could fabricate a claim upon your territory (as could other Bretons) and declare war, beward especially Countess Alais of Thouars, as the sister of King Philip she can call upon his army in times of war!

Playing as a foreign power:
You may perform acts of diplomacy, intrigue, war and 'relations' with the Duchy of Brittany.
You may not stage coups, start wars within your own country, develop your county and/or holdings or participate in most events.
