Australian Version of SR4 is Unacceptable!

Hello, I'm the Doctor("Extra Guy Whooves") and I've never actually started a boycott of anything before or for that matter a group on steam (shame it had to be a boycott group), but I speak to you today as a 20 year old adult Australian with a pass time hobby of playing video games. And there are many other adults like me who don't like to be told what to read, watch and play by our nanny classification board.

Upon hearing about the ban of Saints Row IV from the ACB (Main Culprit: Mr. Donald McDonald...) I was furious and so were many other Australian gamers, the fact that we finally have an R18+ for video games and it was banned means our conservative ratings board is still warped and stuck in the past. But to add more salt to the wound Deep Silver thought it best to strip some of the games features and also disable the international multiplayer for the game... oh we can still play it... just within Australia... so there goes shooting up some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ (our friends) overseas! Not only that but the game has now been delayed in Australia because of this wee little fiasco and it's expecting a September 20 release! Deep Silver has kept a hush hush on telling us why, but I think has got something to do with returning uncut copies in retail stores... I'm not entirely sure but that's my theory.

Some people might think this isn't much or that it's stupid, but it's still censorship, it's still changing a game and making it incomplete in my honest opinion. Not only that, but this just means that R18+ is just another skin for MA15+. When we finally got R18+ for video games we rejoiced at that fact, and having 2 games banned (State of Decay and Saints Row) since having the rating in place really should make us question this conservative system. Having the game changed is part of that process and really we as Australian gamers should stick to our guns so that ♥♥♥♥ like this doesn't happen again, I mean "what next?" is all you have to ask.
Sure all of the game is apparently intact and only one mission was removed, I mean we are lucky the game didn't get the Left 4 Dead 2 treatment (still has not been uncensored for Australia), but we shouldn't stand the fact that something is being held back from the game just for the Australian version and we are paying full price for this gimped version of the game all because our classification board is full of old and conservative monkies!

And it's not Deep Silvers fault, but the fact that they are ashamed to speak to the Australian public about this issue shows they don't care too much about it and only care about getting the game on shelves and paid for... but we all know who to blame for the entire thing is, our Australian Classification Board. I don't care what it takes but send them angry letters, complain to people, contact your local MP and tell them about the issue of the ACB, just make your voice heard that nanny censorship and conservative evaluation of video games and for that matter any media is unacceptable.

So I ask you, please do not buy the Australian version of this game and tell your friends to do the same! If you have already preordered, cancel it, whether you bought it here on Steam, or you pre-ordered it in store for your PC, Xbox or PS3... CANCEL IT! We need to show that this type of behaviour and treatment of a game is not a good thing for your consumer base especially if it's a whole country of gamers. Maybe this will also show what damage it can do to a company if the ACB notices. If you can, import it from the UK, US or anywhere else in the world where the game is the complete version... and if worse does come to worse, I never condone piracy, but... YAR HAR FIDDLE DEE DEE!

Boycott the Australian Version because it's incomplete, import from another country if you have to!
