Boris are a Japanese trio that draws from many various styles of music, such as sludge metal, doom metal, post-metal, drone, noise, minimalism, and ambient. Boris was formed in 1992 and is composed of drummer Atsuo, guitarist/bassist Takeshi, and guitarist/keyboardist Wata. During their career, Boris has released over 20 studio albums on various record labels around the world and has maintained a legendary status in underground and experimental music.
