Welcome to the Besiege Vanilla group!

This is a group where those who enjoy playing the game Besiege with non-modded Vanilla creations can play mod-free multiplayer matches and share their awesome Vanilla designs without them getting buried deep into the Steam Workshop and never seen.

If you want to share a creation or look at other creations, head on over to the Discussions tab and take a look at the pinned thread in the Shared Creations sub-forum and read the information there for sharing creations. If you wish to simply discuss the Vanilla game however, use the General Discussions sub-forum and read the information on the pinned thread. If you wish to host or discuss anything multiplayer related, use the Vanilla Multiplayer sub-forum and read the format there.

If you have any questions regarding whether or not you have the permission to do something, please contact Chicken an Rice with your question.

RULES:

This is a Besiege Vanilla group, not a Besiege Modded group. If you want to host any matches or share your creations with this group, make sure they are Vanilla only. Modded matches and creations are awesome too, but this group focuses on Vanilla.
What this group defines as Vanilla is a creation that was made without any files of the creation being edited, and also without the use of any mods or glitches. You can use the advanced building tools, however.
Please try your best to avoid swearing, and do not be toxic or flame others.
Don't post any inappropriate creations. If you do, your post will be deleted and you may be banned.
Don't spam.
If you share a creation, you must have put actual effort into it. This doesn't mean that you have to spend hours upon hours making it, it just means don't upload a block with two wheels and a cannon. Any creations posted as a troll will be deleted.

The "Advanced Building Tools" Update

Hey everyone! So as you all probably know, recently there was an update for Besiege that was added to the experimental branch. As it's name suggests, this update adds some more tools for making your machines.

Some of these new tools have drastically altered what is possible in vanilla, and the ones that do are as follows:

Translate Blocks - This allows you to move blocks in very small distances. Before this update, vanilla Besiege has always had a "grid-like" building system which forces you to place blocks in fixed distances.

Rotate Blocks - This tool is similar to the previously listed tool, but it's for rotating blocks instead of moving them. Blocks can now be rotated in any direction, where as previously in Besiege blocks could only be placed in 6 directions, each 90 degrees apart from each other.

Allow Interesecting Placment - This tool allows you to place blocks anywhere on your machine, even if it intersects another block. Before this update, if you ever tried to intersect one block with another block it would turn red and prevent you from doing so. There was a glitch to get around this, but it was banned from this group.

This group has always been focused on what the vanilla game of Besiege can do without any mods or glitches, however this update has changed what is possible in vanilla drastically.

The rules for this group obviously had to be changed because of this update, and they now are. This announcement has been made to let you all know that in this group you can now use any vanilla methods available to make creations, just don't use any mods or glitches, and don't edit the files of your creation. This means you can use these tools for your creations. The rules have been updated to allow this.
