It's a little known fact that the AWP was originally intended to be used in an unreleased Valve title; 'FPS for people who can't use the weel guns in Counter Strike'. Ultimately Valve deemed the game 'too Call of Duty' so it was scrapped and the only weapon in the game; the AWP was transfered into Counter Strike to save the development team's precious time to visit the Valve snack bar.
