ARK: Beast Wars

With upcoming plans to promote the server, we're also looking to rollout some changes to better the experience for our player base. With ARK taking the Survival Sim genre by storm, Unofficial server's have been sprouting up everywhere making the ability to generate a solid player base rather difficult. In hope of brining in some new Island survivers we plan on promoting the server on the ARK subreddit. As this may prove successful, it is our easiest form of promotion.

While producing a solid player base is definitely one of our goals, Our primary goal will be to keep the current players happy and returning to their settlements on the island. So, with our survivors in mind were looking to make some changes in hope of giving players features that were unavailable. First, we would like to enable the option of first and third person. Giving the players the choice of camera, after all its your preference. Play the way you would like to play.

Secondly, We plan on adding the ability to see your current location on the map. Currently with the feature not implamented, it's difficult to coordinate with friends. While not seeing your location is more realistic, Playing with friends and coordination is more satisfying. This change as well as camera option is specifically aimed to allow players to play and play the way they would like.

The last change we would like to announce is the deactivation of uploading a pre made character onto our server's island. As many people find this useful in changing servers this also proves harmfull as players can bring in duped items, admin spawned gear, and other sorts of things that would just overall be better earned on the server for yourself.

As these changes rollout, we hope you find them in good taste and helpfull to your ability to survive, thrive, and well something else that rhymes with them on our island. There are many more idea's being tossed around and more ways to make our players enjoy the server. With each day and update we are growing more towards our goal of getting this server to where we would like it, but we can only move as fast as the developer's pump out new content.
