Blue is one of the three primary colors of pigments in painting and traditional color theory, as well as in the Red/Green/Blue color model. It lies between violet and green on the spectrum of visible light.

Blue is a cold color, and as a result, can have a relaxing effect on the mind and body. It stimulates the parasympathetic system, reduces blood pressure and calms both breathing and heart-rate. It has anti-inflammatory and muscle relaxing effects. Fights both physical and mental tension and is used to assist in relaxation.
